Will Smartboss work on my PC? Top  
  Yes, as long as you have a computer with Internet access and a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox on your computer you can enter the Smartboss system.  
     
Will Smartboss keep my Information Secure? Top  
  Smartboss guarantees you complete confidentiality of information and security of data. We have put in place the highest level of data storage and backup. Information is encrypted to the same level (128bit) as that used when you pay for goods online.  
     
How will I learn how to use Smartboss? Top  
  All new users will have access to a 'Quick Start Guide'. You can easily have your Smartboss account set up and ready to go in under 15 minutes! We also run training programmes if you want to register yourself or nominate a member of staff to attend. Here you will learn to use all the features of the system and the benefits to your business.  
     
Will my Accountant be able to access my Accounts? Top  
  Smartboss has a special feature to allow Accountants to manage their clients' accounts on Smartboss. Once you have given permission we will set up a special user account for your accountant so they can access your accounts at any time to save you making an expensive trip to their office. While the system has been developed with the business user in mind we have not forgotten about the accountant and we have incorporated a range of reports that will help them with month end and year end accou  
     
Does Smartboss support multiple Bank Accounts? Top  
  Yes Smartboss allows you to enter up to 5 Bank Accounts. Some businesses claim they do not need many accounts but users can decide to use an account as a 'Cashbook' or one dedicated to their credit card. You will definitely impress the Accountant if you can do all that!  
     
Does Smartboss support multiple currencies? Top  
  Smartboss currently supports both euro and sterling. Users can enter euro bank accounts as well as sterling bank accounts. Payments to suppliers and Receipts can be managed in either currency but the funds must come from or be added to a Bank account of the same currency.  
 
     
 
 
Setup Instructions
  • Now that you have entered your email address and password you are ready to use Smartboss.
  • Enter or change your company details on the "My Settings" page and click on "Submit" to update.
  • Click on the Smartboss Logo above to start using the system.
  • The 1st time you use Smartboss set up your financial categories. We have sent an easy to follow guide telling you how to your email address.
  • In the system use the "Help" tab at the top right of the screen to contact our help desk or to view training videos on how to use Smartboss.
  • Click on "Log Out" at the top right of the screen when you want to exit Smartboss.
